Transitions

Transitions strategies help children who have difficulty changing from one activity or setting to another. Clear and simple visual cues are easier to understand, remember and follow than verbal instructions or less subtle environmental cues.

TomTag visual timetables and FIRST-THEN prompts will help to make your child less anxious and worried about transitions between activities and events. Use the FIRST/THEN or NOW/NEXT concepts to encourage task completion of less preferred activities.
